The objectives to this project were to: explore particular qualities of material: its properties, limitations, and opportunities, demonstrate exploration of hand and power tools and their appropriate applications, develop sensibility/attitude/theory about use of material, and to explore process, theory, and methodologies of wood joinery.  What we learned from this exercise was to be incorporated into construction of the solar decathlon house.
