This project’s goals were to explore the range of issues involved in the design of an ecumenical sacred space and its supporting complex. We were to have a design that creates a powerful evocation of sacredness in an ecumenical setting and offers a workable, well designed plan accommodating large and small scale activities. My concept for the main sacred area was a form that extended both vertically and horizontally with a repetitious form that led to light. I incorporated that form throughout the rest of the spaces in different fashions with focus to the surrounding areas.
